Twitterul atacat de iranieni

Azi Twitterul a avut o “mica” problema: cateva ore n-a functionat. Atacul a fost revendicat prin urmatorul mesaj:

Zilele trecute un articol din Wall Street Journal semnala ca insurgentii din Irak au reusit sa intercepteze datele transmise de UAV-urile americane (avioane fara pilot) folosind un program rusesc numit SkyGrabber care costa $25.95 si e disponibil pe Internet . Vulnerabilitatea era cunoscuta de 10 ani, dar factorii de decizie americani au sperat ca nu se va afla de ea. Ghinion.

In sfarsit, cu cateva saptamani in urma, hackerii au spart e-mailurile University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU). Datele obtinute (peste 10 ani de corespondenta intre diferiti oameni de stiinta, sub forma de e-mailuri) au fost puse pe un server din (surpriza ) Rusia.

“Iran already has powerful Internet eavesdropping and hacking capabilities, thanks to systems sold to by Nokia and Siemens. “We didn’t know they could do this much,” a network engineer in Tehran told the Wall Street Journal last June. “Now we know they have powerful things that allow them to do very complex tracking on the network.”

Iran was “drilling into what the population is trying to say,” a California Internet security specialist was quoted as saying in the Journal. “This looks like a step beyond what any other country is doing, including China.” ”
